Curiosities about Melanie that you probably didn’t know 🔮

Hello crybabys! And welcome to another post about our singer where we are going to talk about some curiosities that will maybe impress you 👀

Here we start! 🫀

1- Her hairstyle is inspired by a villain. 😈

«I changed my hair when I was 16 years old to rebel, because my mother never let me bleach my hair. I was watching 101 Dalmatians and I told her that I wanted to dye my hair like Cruella de Vil.  She didn't believe me and then she didn't talk to me for a week» Melanie said in an interview.

2- No shoes at the shows 🥿

 Perhaps for comfort or some unknown reason, Melanie prefers not to wear shoes while she performs her shows.  She only goes on stage in lace socks.

3- She doesn't wear jeans either👖

Melanie's wardrobe can range from doll heads hanging around her neck, pink dresses, and many accessories, but there are no jeans in the singer's closet.

4- «Mrs. Potato Head» is a metaphor about plastic surgery🥼

 «Mrs. Potato Head» is part of her debut album, written by the singer herself. The idea reflected both in the lyrics and in the video clip shows a criticism of plastic surgery.

 “This video really shows how our society was twisted.  We are all looking forward to having slimmer belly, shinier hair, rather than smoother skin.  High cheekbones. Large eyes. Smooth lips. Small hands" she said after releasing the videoclip. 

5- She wants to be a tattoo artist 👾

If she weren't a famous singer with millions of views on YouTube and touring the world, Melanie Martinez might be developing her secret passion: she wants to be a tattoo artist. She has 36 tattoos.

6- She still has baby teeth 🦷 

Although she is in her early 20s, unlike the rest of the people her age, she still has two baby teeth. And according to the singer, one of her talents is throwing chocolate milk between her two front teeth.

7- She is a chocolate lover 🍪

Melanie cannot live without chocolate. By her own admission, she needs some chocolate after every meal and eats at least five chocolate chip cookies a day.

8- And she hates vegetables 🥬

Most young people grow up eating things made by mom or grandma, which usually include vegetables. Many avoid eating it, but Melanie assures that she infinitely hates vegetables, that she prefers to avoid them at any cost.

Where was the film K-12 filmed? 🍬

Today we are going to get inside the marvelous film of Melanie: K-12!

It was filmed in Esterhazy palace in Hungary which was created in 1784 and has 126 rooms. I’m going to show you in which parts of the palace were filmed the famous scenes from k-12. 

💝 First of all this is where “High school sweethearts” scene was filmed, the grand salon of the palace and also where the scene of the final dance where the students were force to dance all night because of a spell: 

🎭 Second place of this journey through the palace we have the theater where the scene of the song “Drama club”was filmed:

These previous parts of the palace are my favorites because the meaning that Melanie wanted to express with the songs and the scenarios are also related with the near important event which is the women’s day { 8M } and the lyrics are so powerful and meaningful to me. 💜 Next one is also related with this.

🍰 Next stop we have the bathrooms and the spa were the scenes of “Strawberry shortcake” and “Orange Juice” were filmed. The first one is about women who are “force” by the society to be the “perfect” woman for men and to not complain. The second one talks about bulimia: 

🥪 The penultimate place is the dinning room where the scene of “Lunchbox friends” was filmed and which talks about the false friends who betray you behind your back:

Melanie’s childhood 🧸

We can all think that the story of "Cry Baby" is fictitious, which is a bit true but not entirely since in several interviews Melanie has said that some lyrics of the songs of the album are inspired in her childhood...

In today's blog I will tell you about the singer's childhood and how it has affected her musical career. 🤔

Melanie Adele Martinez was born on April 28, 1995 in the US, since she was little her 2 upper front teeth were separated, which is normal for a 5-year-old girl in the Kindergarten, but everything changed when Melanie turned 12 years old.

She began to suffer from bullying because of her teeth, which were permanently separated like this, in high school and everyone made fun of her.

When she graduated she believed that she would never suffer that hell of teasing and antisociality again but she was very wrong since in high school she started to suffer more bullying. 

Also in those times was when she found her love for music and began to do some covers of songs to upload them on her YouTube channel.  But as soon as her classmates noticed the channel they quickly found what to bother her more and in the classroom they used to play her videos of her songs at full volume. By that point in her life she was fed up and began in the vice of cutting her arms and even her chin because she could no longer bear the teasing. 

But when she believed that her life was hopeless, she had discovered a great opportunity for her. She saw that the auditions for "The Voice" were very close so she did not doubt it for a second and went to sign up for it. Melanie believed that a change of look would not be bad so she inspired in one of her favorite Disney villains  "Cruela de Vil" so she painted half of her hair with one color and left the other with her natural color.

When she was eliminated from the competition, the fame she earned on it helped her launch her first DOLLHOUSE single.

Regarding the album and what we talked about at the beginning, Melanie affirmed that several songs were based on her childhood since she did not have as much support in her childhood or any person who was her role model.

But now Melanie is happy and she is making her dream come true surrounded by people who love and support her a lot.💜

CAN’T WAIT TILL I’M OUT OF K-12!✨

To end the K-12 era, Melanie Martinez announced that she will be playing a newly conceived one-of-a-kind theatrical presentation of the K-12 Tour:CAN’T WAIT TILL I’M OUT OF K-12!

This show is the last chance that fans have to experience the concert, after the second run of the tour sadly got canceled due to the pandemic of covid 19. Just like her actual show, the concert production will include a full band and dancers. For the show, Melanie is giving the songs from the K-12 Tour a new spin, in addition to performing tracks from her After School EP.

 Hi! Today I bring you all the information I've been able to find about all the boyfriends Melanie has had, sorted chronologically. This is going to get interesting...🤫🖤

The first one is: Vinnie DiCarlo

Vinnie DiCarlo was Melanie's boyfriend in 2012. He appeared in the video of I Think I'm Crazy, a song that Melanie composed for him. 

Vinnie also appeared in a photo shoot with Melanie and in a talent program in which Melanie participated to talk about her. Together they shared their passion for the audiovisual field.

His break led Melanie to sing Too Close at The Voice.

The next one is: Jared Dylan

Jared Dylan was Melanie's boyfriend in 2013. He appeared in the Train Song cover and Melanie's Wicked Words song.

He is an American alternative rock/pop singer-songwriter, an artist and musician known for his strong lyrics and his work in soft rock and acoustic genres. He is also known for conceiving and organising the first inclusive rock and roll band.

Edwin Zabala is another former Melanie boyfriend and the actor who represents Cry Baby's brother in Dollhouse's video. Edwin and Melanie graduated together.

When they broke, Edwin blocked many Melanie fan accounts and Melanie stopped following him. There are rumours that Edwin is still obsessed with Melanie even today.

Michael has worked with artists like Skizzy Mars, Phoebe Ryan, and G-Eazy. He's also going to produce Melanie's next album as well as producing Cry Baby's latest remix.

Melanie’s rape accusation...😥

 

• A young lady, who was best friend of our singer Melanie Martinez, has accused the artist of raping her in two occasions. 
• But nevertheless, Melanie has denied these accusations supporting that it was consensual sex. The amount of accusations of rape and sexual harassment to celebrities around the world have another victim, and it is, unfortunately, Melanie Martinez.
• Now, her supposed best friend, Timothy Heller has accused her through Twitter of sexual harassment. According to Heller, at a pajama party “Melanie became more and more interested in my sexual preferences”."She started to ask if she could touch my breasts and making comments about them”, she assures.

Shortly after, like the acusser says, Melanie Martinez practice to Heller oral sex and rape her with a sexual toy without her consent: "I never said yes, I said no several times", she affirms. Heller assures that Melanie used her “power” to control her, because their relationship was a “dependency relationship" in which there were “improper touches”.

• According To Heller’s denouncement, the facts were done two nights in a row. The compleinant claims she didn’t told this before because of the shock of assuming her best friend has raped her, and she thought people would believe her “due to the events recently happened”.

What Melanie says about her new EP: «It will be very personal and vulnerable»

Hi everyone! Today's news are about the new "mini-album" which is an extension of K-12, her latest album. The singer Melanie Martinez has just released her new EP (extended play). It had to be delayed obviously because of the Covid-19.

After the success of her album K-12 and the film (about which I explain in my previous post, go check it!!😊) produced by herself, the american singer continue delighting her thousand of fans with new releases like:“Copy Cat” ft. Tierra Whack y “Fire Drill”.

One of the principal song of this EP is “The Bakery”, a song that explains personal experiences of the artist, like her firing from a bakery she used to work at before she became the celebrity she is nowadays.

This one belongs to EP ‘After School’. Melanie Martinez affirmed in social media that this is in the same timeline as K-12 is.

She said in textual words: «In fact, the EP I'll release it's developed under the same theme as K-12, but it is not the continuation of the film or the story line»

After School is the forth Extended play from Melanie Martinez . It was released the 25th of September , 2020 by Atlantic Records through digital download and vinyl. The EP also appears in some streaming platforms like a "Deluxe" edition of K-12.

The career of the singer started since her participation in the famous TV programme "The Voice". Since then, her productions have become more recognised and they have reached positions on charts like Billboard or Alternative Albums. 

An amazing fact is that K-12 managed to break records reaching more than one million of views in its first week of release and now it counts with more than 60 millions of views.
